just read a few blogs. the content was stil ok. basically just talking about themselves and what they wish 2 achieve. but their english was good. i would not say extremely good but at least better than mine. i just got back my english common test paper today and i was shocked at the poor result i got. although i passed, the mark to me was a failing mark. since my primary school days, my english had always been one of my better subjects. or rather, my best subject. the common test mark, i believe, is the lowest i have gotten for my entire school life of studying english. i have come to realise that one should never ever be contented with the marks one get. we should always try and strive for better results. in this rapidly changing world, results are rather important now. not only in singapore, but in other countries as well.
however, being the self absorbed me, i have always thought that i do not need to study for any english tests. now, i think differently. i have promised myself that i would start reading the dictionary to improve my vocabulary. although this may seem like an almost impossible task, i think i may b able to accomplish it. in primary 6, our form teacher made my class do it. and i think that was how i scored an A* for my english. now, i shall do the same thing and hopefully acheive that A1 for my english in the upcoming o level examinations.
as the months to the o level draw nearer, i get more and more anxious. will i b able to get through the o levels? if i do, will i b able to pass it with flying colours? many people have been telling me that if i could score those marks in primary school, it means that i have the potential to do equally well in secondary school. i have been under performing, and i'm not exactly very happy about it myself. what went wrong? am i using the correct studying methods? am i studying the right thingz? i guess i really need to have proper time management. and also review my studying methods and find out what went wrong.
