-i am a cat.-
just went to the library and borrowed this book- i am a cat. Its a book all about what this cat thinks about the world. You may be thinking: 'How can a cat talk?' Well, the fact is the author, Soseki Natsume, has transformed the cat's thoughts into words. Do't ask me how the author did it. I don't know. Here's something from the book that i found quite interesting.
"The sky was made to shelter all creation, and that the sky was made to shelter all creation, and that the earth was made so that all things created might have something ti stand on."
"Next we may ask to what extent did human effort contribute to the creation of heaven and earth; and the answer is that it contributed nothing. what right, then, do human beings hold to decide that things not of their own creation nevertheless belong to them? Of course the abscence of right need not prevent such creatures from making that decision, but surely there can be no possible justification for the prohibiting others from innocent passage in and out of so-called human property."
"If one can fence off sections of this boundless earth, what is to prevent such people from roping off blue sky, from staking claims on heaven, an enclosure of the air? If land can be sold then air can also be partitioned and sold."
Okay. So these are not my thoughts but thoughts of a cat. Notice that the cat called us, humans, "it". Profound thoughts coming from a cat huh? Interesting book. Go check it out. By the way, the cat has no name.
