-Guy Friends VS Girl Friends-
I was tasked to do this quiz by my friend. The quiz started out asking me to name one guy i was closest to. I penned it down without a thought. It then asked me to name a second guy i was closest to. Again, i penned it down without a thought. The next question then asked me to name a girl that i was closest to. I was stuck, i could not name any girl friend that i was close with. It then struck me that most of my close friends are guys.
That got me thinking why didn't i have any close girl friends? One of the reason i came up with was that perhaps i'm really a guy in disguise. *gasp*
Well, another reason is perhaps i find that some girls can be a real bitch some times. They may treat you as their best friend but you never know when they are gossiping about you behind your back. Girls often have this tendency to bitch about somebody behind their backs even if it was her best friend. You can share this huge or embarrassing secret with her and this next thing you know, the whole school knows about it. Besides, girls are very judgemental about everything. Before you even finish your sentence, they will interrupt and tell you this is right or this is not right. And they will forget that you were the one talking about your problems and dive straight into their problems.
As for guys, they will not bitch about you behind your back. It's not in their system to bitch about other people. They are generally an aloof lot, with a heck care attitude about just anything and everything. You can tell them your problems and they will just zone out, not really listening to you at all. They do not interrupt you and you can talk for as long as you like.
Perhaps my experiences with close girl friends have not been nice ones therefore i have this phobia of spilling my heart out to a girl that i think is my friend. Do you even have a name for this phobia?
