-Of BBQs and Factory Outlet Stores-

So there was a BBQ to welcome all the new Singapore students into the club yesterday. Was supposed to meet my friend at her house first but i got horribly lost. So i gave up the search for the house in the end and went to the BBQ late. By the time i got there, the food was almost all gone and only ate the hotdog bun. And it was not much of an interaction actually because everybody was just talking to people that they knew already. No games at all to introduce the rest of the people to each other and all in all, the whole thing ended in about 2hours?

But the trip to the cafe after that to have coffee and cakes with the committee was nice. At least i got to know the people and another place ideal for chilling. I am damn sua ku here i tell you. I have never ventured out of my Paddington-Queen Street Mall-QUT routine since i have been here. Ok, maybe once to Logan and another to Chinatown but that's all man. And i think that is really pathetic.

Note to self: Need to make more friends and get them to bring me around the place.

And i went all the way to the factory outlets at Harbor Town today. Which is at Gold Coast! And a 2 hour journey from the city. Damn far and tedious to travel there can. And although i bought some stuff, i must say that the factory outlets here were not up to expectations. Even the Polo Ralph i went to did not have any Big Pony Polo for ladies. And the brands were mainly Australia brands. But we could get them really cheap.

I forgot to get shoes! Was contemplating if i should get the Ked's flats and maybe a pair of boots but i did not go back there in the end! Damn sad please. Although i did manage to get my dad's birthday present there so now i do not need to wreck my brains as to what to get for him.

And those guys i met from Singapore are, suprisingly, all really good cooks! They can cook chicken rice and bak kut teh and bo bo cha cha and lots of other things. Heh heh. And they said i could go by their house and they would cook for me! Yes! Finally! A taste of Singapore!

Ahh...the post are getting really boring with no photos.

Next time. Next time.
